GEMS’s client in the Diagnostics and Medical Laboratories industry is hiring in the following areas:
Phlebotomist /Medical Assistant
Functions, skills and other requirements summary:
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience collecting blood samples and samples from nasal, throat etc.
- Thorough computer knowledge/usage skills
- Experience preparing samples for testing
Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have certifications in Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant and CPR. Must also be familiar with infection control policies and procedures.
Medical Technologist /Technician
Functions, skills and other requirements summary:
- Experience conducting chemical analysis of blood and urine.
- Experience analyzing fluid results.
- Thorough computer knowledge/usage skills
- Familiarity with current documentation standards and policies in the profession.
- Strong interpersonal and bedside manners.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent communications skills
Candidate must be licensed to work as a medical technician/Technologist with an Associate’s and or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science.
Security
Functions, skills and other requirements summary:
- Use of security scanners and other equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-disciplined and motivated to work unsupervised.
- Excellent physical condition with 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to work extensive hours and work on your feet.
- Basic computer skills
Candidate must have high school diploma or GED.
Must be 35 years or older.
Must have reliable mobile phone and transportation
Must be willing to participate in pre-screenng including drug screening and background investigation.
Must be Bahamian or have a legal right to work in the Bahamas.
